Disgrace and Embarrassment

Went to dog training on Tuesday evening and I thought that I would be clever and try to go early to run some of the beans out of Turbo.  The pup had been very good on his recall and I thought that as some of the runs to the park to play football had not elicited any aggression from him with lots of dogs around, that I would be alright to let him off the lead.

So playing with the basketball Turbo pierced it (he couldn't get it off) and he then decided to get a bit aggressive with "Blue Bell" an absolutely massive Great Dane, I thought it was due to the burst ball and managed to prise it off Turbos jaws.

Every thing else went pretty well (for Turbo) until near the end when Turbo decided to get snappy with the most docile dog in the entire class, a massive Pyrenean Mountain Dog.  I was completely shocked as they have never had a problem before and a wasn't expecting it.  I think he drew blood on the other dogs lip, I couldn't apologise enough to the man.  I don't want to have to muzzle him, but he does have issues with large dogs.

Something different

As you may have noticed I have rather been fixated on writing about my dog lately, so having taken the time to read a few RSS sites via Tristana. Took a look at Woolgathering and noticed a personality test, I took it and here are my results:

Freudian Inventory Results
Genital (50%) you appear to be stuck between destructive and constructive outlooks.
Latency (33%) you appear to have an irrational view on the value of learning.
Phallic (46%) you appear to have a good balance of sexual awareness and sexual composure.
Anal (46%) you appear to have a good balance of self control and spontaneity.
Oral (46%) you appear to have a good balance of independence and interdependence.

So what does it say about me? Haven't a bloody clue. So I did a more fun test to see what type of famous leader I am and apparently I'm:

You could go on an one doing these sorts or things, guess it would have to be done a few times to get the correct answer. Or maybe these things are correct after all, I went to www.tickle.com and did their SUPERDUPER IQ test, or some such thing. Apparently I've an IQ of 117 (2 better than the BBC test, but close enough seeing I didn't see the Smith & Jones clip) and I'm an Original Thinker Only 6 out of 1,000 people have this rare combination of abilities, or so the blurb for me to spend loads of money says.

I just love the marketing hype:
"While your talents matter greatly in real life, they are sometimes overlooked in less thorough intelligence tests" - They are right you know, but I'm tight. I hate IQ testing I always feel that I'm crap at them and I suppose I am, I've just seen Annies IQ of 131 on the same test, Gulp!!!

Inferiority Complex Alert
Its okay I already knew Annie was smarter than me, regardless (or because) of this she is the girl for me. :-) I just have to pick my disagreements more carefully than others or I'm likely to get quotations and rebuttals that even I have to backdown and agree with. Its why I read my car magazines and absorb all the information on the page, when in doubt turn the conversation car wards and I can win easily. Sad? Yes!, but I have to keep my ego stoked somehow ;-)

A very lucky ball of fluff

Holiday boaters rescue kitty who went to sea

Three Weeks - is it really that long

Well its three weeks to the day since we got Turbo and the pup is coming on in leaps and bounds (literally), a lot of the behaviour around other dogs is starting to get much better now that he is attending Coventry Dog Training Club and socialising with other dogs.

Why are you pointing that camera at me?
Big Al

He knows his name "Turbo", "Sit" and "Paw" very well now and his "Lie-Down" is pretty good to. We have started on his "Recall", walking to "Heal" and "Stay" and importantly he seems to enjoy doing all these new things.

Hurry up and finish surfing - I can get bored you know
Big Al

We have been to the pub a few times and he managed to ensure that Simon didn't drink 2 out 3 glasses of diet coke, he thought that Simon should wear his diet coke instead and did a pretty good job of it.

Things you should see and hear at least once

Annie sent me this and I thought I should make sure everyone I know (and a lot I don't) has at least one way of cheering themselves up when they are feeling down. Its a flash animation of a laughing cat and if you don't start spontaneously laughing, even a little bit you must be in a bad way.
